Defining the metrics that matter and bringing them to life

We have supported Honda UK with data analysis surrounding their digital platform for the last 5 years across the Cars, Bikes and Power Products departments of the business. This activity has included utilising a number of data visualisation platforms and supporting the development of the business’s KPI frameworks.



As you would expect from a global brand, Honda generates a large number of online interactions with its customers and followers on a daily basis - this amounts to a lot of data. This data needed to be understood: what does the data mean? What actions should be taken? What is the data telling us to do?
Honda had identified the need for a more efficient method of data reporting but did not have the internal knowledge or expertise to support this new initiative.

Working across all departments, we carried out a review of the business’s objectives and identified a range of metrics we felt would support the measurement and achievement of these objectives. We presented these to all stakeholders and, once the metrics had been approved, it was time to create some dashboards.
